Sher shah suri tomb

Sher Shah Suri’s tomb is located in Sasaram in the state of Bihar. This tomb is famous as a fine example of ancient architecture. It was painted by Mir Mohammad Aliwal Khan and built between 1540 and 1545. This tomb is quite huge, which includes large open courtyards, different types of pillars and high domes. This beautiful structure is three storeys high. This mausoleum is situated in the middle of a rectangular artificial lake, which has been constructed in an octagonal plan.

The most important and interesting thing about this mausoleum is that it has been built 13 feet higher than the Taj Mahal and inside this mausoleum mostly decorated with red sandstone, there are inscriptions from the Quran on the walls. The tomb of Hasan Khan Sur, the temple of Sai Baba, the temple of Maa Tara Chandi etc. are situated near this tomb. Seen in this way, this mausoleum holds an important identity among the special historical places of Indian tourism. For this reason, tourists show great interest in knowing the elements of its Islamic architecture.

Bodh gaya

Bodhgaya is one of the famous districts of Bihar which is considered important for Buddhism. Actually, about 2500 years ago, Lord Buddha had performed rigorous penance at this famous place. It is said that at this place, after meditating under a Peepal tree for 49 days, Lord Buddha attained divine enlightenment on the full moon day of Vaishakh month. Now this Peepal tree is known as Bodhi tree and since then this place also came to be called Bodh Gaya. The world famous Mahabodhi Temple is located here.

It was built by King Ashoka. A large statue of Lord Gautam Buddha has also been constructed in this famous temple. The Tibetan monastery Bodhgaya is located near the temple, which is considered to be one of the oldest and largest monasteries.  This complex of Bodh Gaya is 110 kilometers away from Patna, Bihar. People come here during Pitru Paksha to perform Shraddha. An Archeology Museum is also located here which is a good place to visit for tourists.

Nalandha

Nalanda district is one of the important tourist destinations among the various districts of Bihar state. The headquarters of this district is Bihar Sharif. The city of Nalanda is believed to be established in the fifth century. The name of this city is taken from Sanskrit language which means giver of knowledge. The anciently built Nalanda University tourist places, Rajgir and Pawapuri in this district have become world famous for their ruins. Nalanda Mahavihara has been included in the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The remains of Nalanda University still contain the history of this place. For this reason Nalanda has become an archaeological site. The archaeological remains of Nalanda include stupa temples, various stone metals, important art works and stucco etc.

Nalanda has been a major center of education since ancient times and students from different countries including Tibet, China, Turkey, Greece and Iran used to come here to gain knowledge. This is the first residential school to be built. Where at one time about 2000 teachers and 10000 students resided. Nalanda is also an important place from the point of view of tourist places. Its architecture has been prepared in a very amazing manner. Sitamarhi is one of the well-known religious tourist places of Bihar. From the religious point of view, this place has great importance because it is considered to be the birthplace of Janaki i.e. Mother Sita. In this area, a very beautiful and grand temple of Mata Sita is situated, which is built in the old area of ​​Sitamarhi. It is said that this is the place where King Janak got Mother Sita as his daughter. Ram, Sita and Hanuman ji are present as the main deities in the temple. Valmiki National Park

Valmiki National Park is located in Valmiki Nagar in West Champaran district of Bihar state. This park is located 100 kilometers away from Bettiah, near the Nepal border. Although it is a small town and its population is also less, but it is a park where many types of animals are found. This area is mostly covered with forests. In fact, this park is surrounded by the Gandak River coming from the Himalayan Mountains in the west and the Royal Chitwan National Park of Nepal in the north.
